The value of every person, the driving force behind a new beginning
Il Melograno Social Cooperative was founded in 2016 in Crema with a precise and profound goal: supporting, welcoming and valuing people going through a period of psychological, social, economic or work-related fragility.
We firmly believe that life’s difficulties and complex circumstances should never obscure the unique value of an individual, nor cause them to lose hope in a new beginning. For us, fragility is not an insurmountable limit, but a starting point. Every person holds valuable abilities and hidden resources that deserve to re-emerge, so that each individual can regain the awareness of being important, autonomous and useful to the community.
Our mission: dignity, inclusion and autonomy
The heart of our work beats for the affirmation and social redemption of the individual. We pursue this purpose through personalized pathways centered on two fundamental pillars: work and hospitality.
Through targeted projects, we offer concrete responses to the needs of Crema and the surrounding municipalities, building bridges between social solidarity and the productive world.
What we do: our services and projects in Crema
To turn our values into daily action, we mainly operate in three major areas of intervention:
1. Job placement and services for companies
Work is the main tool for restoring dignity and independence.
We actively collaborate with numerous local companies to manage contracts and work orders, offering concrete professional opportunities in different sectors:
- Green maintenance and gardening: care of public and private green areas.
- Packaging and assembly: third-party processing for industrial and craft businesses.
- Cleaning services: sanitization and hygiene of civil and industrial spaces.
2. "Diversi alla Pari" Workshop
A flagship of our cooperative is the training and occupational workshop dedicated to people with disabilities.
A protected and stimulating space where creativity, manual skills and socialization become everyday tools for breaking down barriers and valuing each person’s talents.
3. Residential hospitality and protection for mothers with children
Attention to fragility also extends to housing support.
We manage protected residential spaces dedicated to vulnerable households of mothers with minor children in situations of hardship. We offer them not only a safe roof, but a guided path toward relational and economic autonomy.
